| Welcome to the Home of the Indiana Assisted Living Association. We are an association of communities that are leaders in Indiana Assisted Living. The communities vary in size and scope of service in a number of ways. Our member communities include small independent Housing with Services Establishments, to Residential Care Facilities that are a part of larger multi-state organizations. Depending on the philosophy and licensing decision, the community lifestyles may range from active resident living to caring for residents with dementia. We invite you to learn more about Assisted Living in Indiana through this web site and the resources identified for you.
What is an Assisted Living residence?
An assisted living residence is a special combination of housing, personalized supportive services and health care designed to meet the needs -- both scheduled and unscheduled — of those who require help with activities of daily living. It is a long-term residence option that provides resident-centered care in a residential setting. It is designed for those who need extra help in their day-to-day lives but who do not require 24-hour skilled nursing care. For additional information regarding the types of assisted living, choosing assisted living, the assisted living waiver program and other information, Developers and Consumers may want to visit the Assisted Living in Indiana Section.
